Day 70: I have to pack my books
Tuesday 30 October 2008
Well, this is an unusual but fun night! The cell block guards have swept and garbage picked up. They do that otherwise never. I'm curious to see what their superiors do next. The showers clean? I'm curious.
Father Vatela came over. We had an interesting conversation about faith and the presence of the Holy Spirit. What it means to be an emotional wave of sentiment and a deep sense. Very intelligent man, the head of Death Row came through here as well. There is something strange in itself. Some think they have seen through him. I think not yet. "Officer Cook", however, sees through. He is the one who reads our mail. A short description? Small, round, sly look, nervous hands and a shaved, pock-marked face.
I was told that I will be laid. I have to pack my books. I still have most of them.
